Dr Philip Dingli
Cardiologist

Philip Dingli graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Malta and after completing specialist training in Cardiology at Mater Dei Hospital, Malta he completed a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Hospital Clinico San Carlos in Madrid. He has carried out advanced training in heart failure with the University of Zurich and has a PhD in applied biomedical sciences with the University of Malta.  He is currently a resident specialist in interventional cardiology at Mater Dei Hospital Malta with a special interest in complex coronary interventions and left main PCI and a lecturer in the Department of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Malta. Dr Dingli’s research interests are concentrated on the use of intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) in the treatment of complex lesions including left main lesions, diffuse stenosis and chronic total occlusions. He has also co-authored various chapters related to IVUS, including the IVUS chapter in The ESC Textbook of Cardiovascular Medicine and IVUS/Angiography co-registration chapter in Coronary Stenosis.

Dr. Philip Dingli provides cardiac consultations and diagnostic tests  including 24 hour blood pressure monitors, holter monitors (24, 48, 72, 7 day), stress testing, ECG and echocardiography.
